Free AI Citation Check for Your Brand

Which sites does an answer engine cite when a buyer asks about what you sell, and is one of them yours?

Type your domain, a few words on what the business sells, and an email address. A confirmation link goes to that address; when you click it, we run a full live data search at our cost: four questions a buyer would ask, put to Perplexity and to Google's AI Overview through paid engine queries, with every domain each engine attached to its answer. It is one dated capture, not a verdict, and it is the first thing we measure for every client.

No account. Each confirmed check runs paid engine queries that we cover, which is why nothing runs until you confirm the address; the result then goes to our inbox as well as to this page. Rather not confirm one? Use the contact form and we will run it by hand.

The check

Four questions, run live at our cost once you confirm

The form posts to a function on this domain that emails you a confirmation link by Resend. When you click it, the function asks the two engines through DataForSEO, our search data provider, shows the result here, and emails the result and your confirmed address to info@suedeai.ai. No site database, file, or mailing list stores it; the inbox email is retained as described in the privacy notice. Rather not confirm an address? Use the contact form and we will run it by hand.

What the full audit adds

Twelve questions, five engines, and the reason behind the gap

The free check is two engines and four questions. The full AI citation audit runs twelve buyer questions across Google's AI Overview, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, ranks every vendor the engines cited, sweeps your site for the structural causes (crawler blocks, a missing llms.txt, absent schema, thin initial HTML) and lays out a 30-day repair plan. It arrives as a one-page scorecard. Ask for it by reply and we run it before the first call.

How to read it

A citation is not a mention, and one run is not a trend

  • A citation is a source the engine attached to its answer. Being named in the text without a source is a mention, and it is weaker, because the reader cannot click through.
  • Review sites and publishers are cited constantly. When they are the only sources on a question, the engine is reading a listicle, and the vendor that wrote the best comparison page is the one that gets named.
  • Not cited on four questions is a data point. Not cited on four questions a month later, after repairs shipped, is a finding.
  • Access comes first. If robots.txt blocks PerplexityBot or Google cannot read the initial HTML, no amount of content changes the result.

The lanes behind each of those are in The checklist, and the reasoning is in The book.
