AI Integration
Connect a useful AI capability to the tools your team already uses. Suede AI designs and tests the data handoffs, permissions and human review steps that turn an isolated capability into an operational workflow.
What your team receives
- Integration specificationA clear description of inputs, outputs, field mappings, permissions and acceptance cases for the defined transaction.
- Connected and tested workflowThe approved system connection with representative successful and exceptional cases checked against the receiving tool.
- Runbook and handoff documentationInstructions for checking status, handling exceptions and identifying the owner of each connected component.
A defined scope, an accountable owner and a useful handover.
Define what moves between systems
Business AI integration begins with a concrete transaction: an input arrives, an AI component performs a defined task, and an approved result reaches the next system or person. We map the source, required fields, expected output and destination before choosing how the connection should work.
This specification makes responsibilities visible. It identifies which system owns the record, which fields can change and how the result is connected to its original input. Your team can review the proposed behavior before the integration is implemented.
Put permissions and human handoffs in the workflow
A connected system should have the access required for its agreed job. We define the relevant accounts, permitted actions and approval points with the business owner. Where a result needs review, the workflow identifies who receives it and what information they need to make a decision.
We also decide how uncertainty is represented. An incomplete input, an ambiguous result or a missing destination should lead to a visible next step. Those cases belong in the integration design so the operator can understand why a transaction completed, waited or failed.
Test both successful handoffs and failures
We exercise representative inputs and verify the result in the receiving tool. The check covers the actual fields and ownership, not just whether an API request returned a success response. Where the agreed workflow permits retries, testing also checks that repeat processing does not create unwanted duplicate actions.
Integration connects systems. Workflow automation defines the wider recurring process, while custom agent development supplies task-specific agent behavior. Keeping the connection contract clear helps your team change one component without losing control of the entire operation.
How the work is delivered
- Map the transaction Identify the input source, AI task, destination and record owner. Review available integration methods and access with your tool administrators before agreeing the implementation scope.
- Build the approved handoff Implement the agreed field mapping, permitted actions and review path. Use representative test records to inspect the output in the destination and resolve mismatches.
- Exercise exceptions and hand over Test missing fields, destination failures and the agreed retry behavior. Deliver the operating steps, escalation owner and evidence that the scoped handoffs behave as specified.
Example: a reviewed summary reaches the right system
Illustrative example
A team wants an AI-generated summary attached to an existing work record. The integration receives the approved source, preserves the record identifier and sends the summary for review. After approval, it updates the intended destination. A missing record or failed update creates a visible exception for the named owner.
Questions about AI Integration
Will this work with our existing tools?
We inspect the tools' available integration methods, access requirements and field behavior during scoping. The resulting specification names the supported connection and the permissions needed for the agreed workflow.
What happens if a connected system fails?
The workflow includes an agreed failure path, such as holding the item for review, notifying the owner or retrying safely. The runbook explains how to identify affected records and resume processing.
How do we know the integration is ready?
Readiness is checked against approved acceptance cases. These include representative inputs, the resulting destination records, required human approvals and the defined handling of missing or failed transactions.
